The head of the municipal enterprise of the Kyiv City State Administration 'Pleso', which belongs to the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko, has been charged with embezzling millions of funds. Currently, the issue of his detention is being resolved. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General on August 19.The investigation has established that KP 'Pleso' received funds for the creation of water protection zones in Kyiv, but the head, together with other individuals, developed a scheme for the illegal withdrawal of money. They conducted a tender and signed a contract with a company that had been pre-selected, misusing budget funds. The work was not actually carried out, but the contractor received payment. This occurred on two islands — Trukhaniv and Venetian, where the work was unnecessary by law.KP 'Pleso' is engaged in the protection and care of the water resources of the capital. Recently, cases of embezzlement of budget funds have been discovered in Kyiv, particularly involving the construction of the Podilsky Bridge and the procurement of low-quality cameras. Events in this area have become the subject of a thorough investigation.
