Smart glasses Ray-Ban Meta have unexpectedly become popular in cycling.
Smart glasses Ray-Ban Meta turned out to be useful for cyclists
Smart glasses Ray-Ban Meta, developed in collaboration with Meta, have proven to be an excellent assistant for cyclists, although their design has some drawbacks for active sports.
According to Maxwell Zeff, Ray-Ban Meta allows combining several devices, such as sunglasses, headphones, and a camera, making the cycling process much more convenient and easier.
These glasses have a built-in camera above the right and left eyes, which allows for quick photo and video capture with a simple press of a button on the frame. The camera quality may not be very impressive, but it still allows capturing important moments.
Open-type speakers in the frames of the glasses allow listening to music or podcasts without blocking the surrounding sounds, which is very important for road safety. Additionally, these glasses have an AI assistant that answers questions about the environment.
Although there are drawbacks to these glasses, such as slipping off the nose on uneven roads and restricted visibility due to thick frames, with some improvements, they can become indispensable for cyclists. Analyzing the material, it can be said that this is an interesting step in the development of smart glasses and their application in the sports sector.
