Main Intelligence Directorate attacks Russian internet service providers in Crimea
The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine carried out an attack on Russian internet service providers in temporarily occupied Crimea. This became known from a source in the Directorate.
It is noted that the attack was carried out by Ukrainian military intelligence cyber specialists.
Several major service providers in Crimea were hit.
It seems that Russian cyber specialists need to remember import substitution, turn on their "CheburNet" instead of the World Wide Web, and install an exclusively Russian firewall, isolating themselves from the entire free world. Only this way can they hope to protect themselves from our attacks," said a source in the security service.
The occupation authorities warned the residents of Crimea about potential disruptions to network access.
Earlier, the Ukrainian IT army carried out an attack on the Russian banking system, including the infrastructure of the "National Payment Card System" (NSPK) - the operator of the "Mir" cards.
The International Telecommunication Union, which is a specialized agency of the UN in the field of global telecommunication, is considering complaints from Ukraine and European countries about interference by Russian satellites in the operation of navigation services and television channels.
The International Criminal Court is investigating cyberattacks on Ukrainian critical infrastructure as possible war crimes.
