Rubio and Witkoff Discuss Ukraine in Paris: Politico Learned Details.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and special presidential envoy Steve Witkoff are heading to Paris for negotiations that will also address Ukraine.
According to information from Politico, Witkoff plans to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron, while Rubio will meet with his French counterpart Jean-Noël Barrot.
The main topics of discussion during the visit will be Ukraine, Iran, and trade issues in the context of the 'tariff war' initiated by U.S. President Donald Trump.
This is the first visit by U.S. high-ranking officials to France after the arrival of Vice President Jay Di Venca for the summit on artificial intelligence in February.
France, along with the United Kingdom, is leading a group of countries developing possible security guarantee options for Ukraine.
