Rubio accuses Zelensky of sabotaging Trump's peace initiatives.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio demands an apology from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after a meeting with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office that turned into a confrontation.
Rubio called the negotiations a 'fiasco' and questioned Zelensky's sincerity regarding a peaceful resolution.
'He didn't need to be so antagonistic. When you speak aggressively to a president who has made deals all his life, you will not bring the parties to the negotiating table,' Rubio said.
Tensions escalated after an exchange of remarks between Zelensky and Vice President Jay D. Vance. When Vance mentioned the need for diplomacy, the Ukrainian president sharply reacted, listing the diplomatic initiatives that preceded Russia's invasion in 2022, asking: 'What diplomacy, Jay D., are you talking about?'
The consequences of the meeting were immediate and palpable. Trump ordered Zelensky to leave the White House, preventing the Ukrainian delegation from continuing negotiations, canceled a planned joint press conference, and touched on future U.S. military aid to Ukraine.
'Tonight people will die in Ukraine. We are trying to stop this conflict. This is a bloody war that needs to end. And right now, the only world leader who can help us end this is President Donald Trump, and we need to give him the opportunity to try to do that,' Rubio emphasized.
Let us recall that Levitt announced a new U.S. policy regarding Ukraine.
