Destruction in the metro - KCSA official suspended from work.
In Kyiv, the court decided to suspend the director of the Transport Infrastructure Department of KCSA from his position and place him under night house arrest. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv city prosecutor's office on Telegram.
The Holosiivskyi District Court of Kyiv has suspended the official from performing his duties for two months. He is suspected of negligence that led to the untimely detection of an emergency situation in the metro tunnel of the capital. This was the reason for the closure of traffic on the stretch between the 'Lybidska' and 'Teremky' stations.
The court imposed a preventive measure in the form of night house arrest until September 10. Prosecutors plan to appeal this decision as they sought round-the-clock house arrest with an electronic bracelet.
It should be noted that in July, the prosecution announced suspicion of a KCSA official due to the destruction of the metro tunnel. Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko accused this of supporting political pressure on the city authorities.
