Recalculation of heating subsidies: who will the Pension Fund assess from October 1.
Recalculation of housing subsidies for the heating season 2025-2026
According to inkorr.com: Starting from October 1, the Pension Fund of Ukraine will begin the recalculation of housing subsidies for households for the upcoming heating season. According to official data from the agency, the majority of recipients will receive recalculation automatically, even those who received a subsidy of 0 UAH in the summer.
The calculation of subsidies will be based on the duration of the heating season, which will last from October 16 to April 15, the income for the first two quarters of 2025, and the pension amount for August for retirees.
Those who are applying for a subsidy for the first time or have changes in the family composition or service list must contact the Pension Fund. Additional documents may be required for those who were denied a subsidy due to a debt, if the debt has already been paid, restructured, or contested in court.
A subsidy can be obtained from the beginning of the heating season if documents are submitted between October 1 and November 30. Applications submitted later will only be valid from the month of their submission.
In light of the approaching heating season, the Pension Fund of Ukraine emphasized the need for recalculating housing subsidies to provide citizens with important information about the conditions for receiving them and any changes. This will allow people to receive timely support in paying for utilities in the upcoming heating season.
This recalculation will be an important step for many Ukrainians, especially those who rely on subsidies to cover heating costs. Program participants should pay attention to the deadlines for submitting documents to avoid losing the opportunity to receive financial assistance during the heating period.
