SBU revealed details of the operation in Novorossiysk: How the reconnaissance aircraft Sea Dragon was destroyed.

According to ТСН: The Security Service of Ukraine shared new details of the special operation in the port of Novorossiysk, during which the Russian reconnaissance aircraft Il-38N was taken out of action. The neutralization of this aircraft allowed maritime drones to reach their target unhindered and successfully attack a 'Warschawianka' class submarine.

As the SBU reported, preparations for the explosion of the submarine were carried out by specialists from the 13th Main Department of Military Intelligence. It is known that the upgraded reconnaissance aircraft Il-38N, also known as Sea Dragon, was the only aircraft of its class in the Black Sea capable of detecting underwater drones of the Sub Sea Baby type.

“This aircraft is intended for maritime reconnaissance, submarine search, waterway control, minefield establishment, and torpedo strikes. The affected aircraft actively resisted the activities of the SBU's maritime drones. The estimated cost of this aircraft is 24 million US dollars,” they noted at the SBU.

For the execution of the attack, the service used a modern drone equipped for above-water detonation. After the explosion above the aircraft, the shell released two thousand fragments that damaged the main radar and engine equipment of the aircraft.

“The elimination of this anti-submarine aircraft ensured the successful execution of the main part of the special operation — the explosion of a 'Warschawianka' class submarine,” they noted at the SBU.

Published footage of the successful attack shows the actual state of security at strategic Russian sites, which significantly differs from the official reports of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

We remind that long-range drones of the SBU's special operations center 'Alpha' destroyed two Su-27 aircraft at the Russian military airfield Belbek in the temporarily annexed Crimea. The estimated cost of the destroyed aircraft amounts to about 70 million dollars.

Earlier, it was also reported that on the night of December 21, two Russian combat jets Su-30 were destroyed at the airport near Lipetsk. The special operation of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was carried out by the resistance movement, which inflicted damage on the enemy worth up to 100 million dollars.
