SBU uncovered 207 Russian agents in law enforcement agencies: who has been sanctioned
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Security Service of Ukraine has detected Russian agents within law enforcement agencies and dismantled corruption schemes in the defense sector. According to the press service of the SBU, 44 individuals have already received sentences ranging from 12 to 15 years of imprisonment.

According to information from the SBU, the Department of Military Counterintelligence has uncovered 207 individuals who committed treason in the interests of Russia since February 2022. Among them were 52 military personnel who had contacts with Russian special services. One of those detained, a former commander of a special operations unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for handing over the plans of Ukrainian special forces to the enemy.

During 2025, the military counterintelligence of the SBU dismantled three intelligence networks. In the Zaporizhia region, a group was eliminated, which included the rector of a local church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate), who was called up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the Odesa region, four spies were detained, who provided corrections for strikes on ammunition depots. In the Lviv region, an informant was detained for relaying coordinates to Russia for attacks on airfields.

The SBU continues its fight against Russian agents and traitors in various spheres of public life in Ukraine, attempting to protect the national security of the country from hostile actions.
