Scientists have discovered why women feel colder than men: an evolutionary reason

According to The Sun: If you are out with a female friend and the sun sets, they are likely to feel cold earlier than men.

Researchers have found the reason why women always feel colder than men. They believe it is an evolutionary mechanism for the separation of genders and prevention of conflicts.

Scientist Eran Levin from Tel Aviv University said: 'Men and women experience temperature differently. This difference in thermal sensations did not arise so that we might possibly argue with our partners over the air conditioning, but quite the opposite.'

Researchers have found that this trait is common in many species of birds and mammals - males prefer the pub or shorts while females favor cozy bottoms.

This leads to separation between the sexes, with females enjoying cuddling for warmth while males maintain greater distance and avoid contact with one another.

In birds, males winter in colder areas than females, who avoid extremes.

A study published in the journal Global Ecology and Biogeography showed that the separation between males and females reduces competition for resources in the environment and keeps aggressive males, who may threaten offspring, at bay.

Among mammals, it is often observed that males choose heights while females prefer sunlight or males ascend to mountain tops while females stay in valleys.

The study found that women, feeling colder, have adapted to this phenomenon through evolution to ensure the most efficient use of resources and avoid conflicts. This mechanism allows for better division of tasks between the sexes, providing optimal conditions for the survival and reproduction of the species.
