Sobjanin charged with aiding the war of the Russian Federation: what is being incriminated.
The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported that Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin has been charged with assisting in the conduct of aggressive war against Ukraine. According to the investigation, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the mayor of Moscow has consciously provided Russian troops with human and material resources to continue the aggression.
Evidence of unlawful activity
According to inkorr.com: During the investigation, the following facts were discovered:
- organization of mobilization processes and recruitment of servicemen, including foreigners;
- introduction of financial incentives for mobilized individuals and their families;
- support for the construction of fortifications in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine at the expense of Moscow's resources;
- assistance in the development of the Russian defense industry, including the production of S-400 missile systems and unmanned systems.
Prosecutors from the Office of the Prosecutor General noted that Sobyanin's actions are a conscious contribution to the implementation of the criminal policy of the Russian Federation regarding the annexation of Ukrainian territories. The charge was brought under Part 5 of Article 27, Part 1 of Article 28, and Part 2 of Article 437 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
