Ukrainian Defense Forces Hold the Line Against Russian Invasion
According to Novyny.live: Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s military has engaged in 144 combat clashes, successfully pushing back Russian assaults while inflicting heavy losses. The Russian army launched a missile strike with 68 rockets, carried out 105 airstrikes dropping 282 guided bombs, deployed 9,222 kamikaze drones, and conducted 3,632 artillery bombardments. These figures highlight the intensity of ongoing hostilities as both sides continue to vie for control along the front lines.
According to the General Staff of Ukraine, Russian troop casualties for the day reached 740. Destroyed enemy equipment includes 4 tanks, 1 armored fighting vehicle, 17 artillery systems, 1,984 drones, 65 missiles, 1 boat, 110 vehicles, and 1 piece of specialized hardware. In a significant overnight operation on March 13–14, Ukrainian forces struck the 'Maykop' military airfield, the 'Afipsky' oil refinery, and infrastructure at the 'Kavkaz' port inside Russia.
Intense Combat Across Multiple Fronts
Fierce fighting erupted on several front-line sectors. In the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, three clashes were recorded. On the South-Slobozhansky axis, Russian troops attempted three breakthroughs. The Kupiansk sector saw three attacks, while the Lyman direction faced five assaults. Ukrainian defenders halted ten enemy attempts on the Sloviansk front.
On the Kramatorsk axis, three attacks occurred, while the Kostiantynivka sector experienced 28 assaults. In Pokrovsk, Ukrainian forces repelled 20 storming actions; in Oleksandrivka, six attacks were thwarted. The Huliaipole direction saw 18 offensives, and in Orikhiv, the enemy tried three times to improve their positions. On the Prydniprovsky front, defenders stopped three enemy advances. Meanwhile, no signs of offensive troop formations were detected on the Volyn and Polissia axes.
The front-line situation remains tense due to active operations from both sides. Ukraine’s defense forces continue to fulfill their missions, dealing significant blows to the occupiers.
