Ukraine Defense Forces Strike Russian Airbase and Destroy Six Oil Tankers in Major Attack.
Strike on Russian Military Assets
According to UATV: On July 8, Ukrainian defense forces launched a coordinated attack on Russian military targets, successfully destroying six tankers belonging to Russia's shadow fleet. One of these vessels was hit in the Black Sea, while the other five were eliminated in the Sea of Azov.
The operation also targeted the Borisoglebsk airbase in Russia's Voronezh region. In addition, two road bridges in the Belgorod region were destroyed. These strikes are part of a broader campaign aimed at crippling the enemy's military infrastructure and logistics.
Activity in Other Regions
Explosions and fires were also reported at oil refineries in the Saratov and Tatarstan regions. These incidents highlight ongoing Ukrainian efforts to degrade Russia's logistical and military capabilities.
By hitting critical assets like tankers and airfields, Ukraine aims to disrupt Russian supply lines and reduce its ability to sustain military operations. Such attacks are a key component of Ukraine's defensive and offensive strategy in the protracted war, weakening the opponent's infrastructure and limiting its operational reach.
