Russia shifts to active defense on the front line: details on new fortifications emerge.
Front-Line Developments
According to UATV: Russian forces are transitioning to an active defense posture and constructing fortifications along the front, particularly in the Oleksandrivka direction. Ukraine’s defense forces are pressing forward with combat operations, inflicting heavy casualties on the enemy. Over the past day, Ukrainian troops eliminated 1,200 Russian invaders.
Enemy Losses
In the combat zones, the following were destroyed:
- 57 enemy artillery systems,
- 9 tanks,
- 5 air defense systems.
Additionally, Ukrainian forces managed to shoot down more than 2,000 enemy drones. Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, noted that
“the enemy is building its fortifications everywhere it tries to gain even a slight foothold”.
Voloshyn also emphasized that
“on some sections of the front, we are forcing the enemy to switch to active defensive actions rather than offensive ones”. This highlights the effectiveness of Ukrainian troops in responding to Russian moves, which is shaping the overall battlefield situation.
The front-line situation remains tense, as both sides adjust their strategies to evolving combat conditions. Russia’s shift to active defense may indicate growing pressure from Ukrainian forces, which have been successful in inflicting losses on the enemy. These developments could significantly influence the conflict’s trajectory and the military tactics of both parties.
