According to Espreso.tv: On May 23, a father serving in a local territorial defense unit was killed in Sumy when a Russian strike hit a funeral procession. Just over a week later, on the night of June 1–2, a Russian drone struck the family’s home, burning it to the ground. These back-to-back tragedies illustrate the relentless toll of the conflict on ordinary Ukrainian families.
Attacks on Ukrainian Cities
On June 1, Russian forces launched a wave of drone attacks targeting multiple cities across Ukraine, including:
