The situation on the front in Ukraine

According to ТСН: Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Deputy Commander of the Third Army Corps, Maksym Zhorin noted that the situation on the front in Ukraine is extremely difficult, but there is an opportunity to rectify it.

Zhorin reported this on his Telegram channel.

“The situation at the front is indeed very complicated. But I do not believe that it cannot be corrected,” the colonel stated.

In his opinion, Ukraine should have taken some important steps earlier, but the right decisions can still improve positions, particularly in negotiations, based on changes on the battlefield.

Zhorin pointed out that the most challenging directions, where the Russian army is actively advancing, are Kup'yansk, Lyman, Pokrovsk, and Hulyaipole. The enemy continues to increase pressure in these areas.

“Right now, it is critically necessary for us to change our approach to the use of available forces and resources. It sounds difficult, but in practice — completely feasible steps,” stated the Deputy Commander of the Third Army Corps.

It was also noted that the Commander of the Airborne Assault Troops, Oleg Apostol, reported that Pokrovsk continues to hold out, despite the difficult circumstances and ongoing resistance. He emphasized the importance of this city for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Regarding the Zaporizhia region, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, reported that Russian troops were unable to enter Hulyaipole and were stopped at the approaches to the city. In the Zaporizhia direction, the enemy does not cease their assaults, but there are no combat clashes in Hulyaipole itself; currently, search and strike operations are ongoing.

The situation at the front remains critical, but Ukrainian defense forces are working to improve their positions and strengthen defenses. Coordination of actions in all directions remains important, including in negotiations, which can impact the results of combat operations.
