No Unloading Required: New Scanning Systems Now Active at Three Border Crossings.
Ukraine Introduces Mobile Scanning Technology at Border Points
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine is rolling out full-scale scanning of railway cars, containers, and other vehicles without the need to unload them. This initiative aims to enhance border control and strengthen national security. To support the project, four mobile scanning systems manufactured by Varex Imaging have already been delivered and are currently being tested at several checkpoints.
How the New Systems Work and Their Benefits
The mobile scanners are now operational at the Yahodyn, Rava-Ruska, and Krakivets border crossings. The equipment can inspect vehicles and containers without requiring them to be opened or unloaded, significantly simplifying and speeding up control procedures. The systems will run around the clock, ensuring continuous monitoring and oversight of goods moving across the border.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine highlights that a key feature of these new mobile systems is the integrated use of artificial intelligence for image analysis. This will enable more effective detection of potential threats and border violations.

The deployment of advanced scanning technology at border points represents a major step toward ensuring the reliability and security of goods transportation between Ukraine and other countries. It also reflects the government’s efforts to modernize border control and adapt to contemporary security challenges, which have become increasingly urgent in the face of global threats.
Integrating artificial intelligence into the control system could significantly improve the detection of illegal shipments and other offenses, positively impacting Ukraine’s economic relations with neighboring nations.
