How many children in Ukraine have died at the hands of the occupiers? Data from the Prosecutor General's Office.
Children have become victims of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine
As of the morning of October 22, 2024, 581 children have died in Ukraine as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. More than 1649 have sustained injuries of varying degrees of severity. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
In total, more than 2230 children have suffered in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. The most affected children were in the following regions: Donetsk - 595, Kharkiv - 453, Dnipropetrovsk - 178, Kherson - 180, Kyiv - 133, Zaporizhzhia - 145.
Only in the last day, two children have died at the hands of the occupiers, and another two have been injured. Specifically:
On October 21, as a result of shelling in the village of Yantarne, Donetsk region, an 11-year-old boy died.
On October 21, as a result of shelling in the city of Zaporizhzhia, an 8-year-old girl sustained physical injuries.
On October 21, as a result of shelling in the village of Buzke, Novooleksandivka district, Mykolaiv region, a 15-year-old girl was injured.
On October 22, as a result of shelling in the city of Sumy, a 14-year-old girl died.
Let's recall, the Verkhovna Rada passed the law "On the fundamentals of social protection of children affected by the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine". The passed law provides for the creation of a state register of children affected by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, as well as compensation to the child for harm to life and health due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, which will be carried out using reparations and international financial assistance.
