121 thousand Ukrainian men have left for Poland: what does this mean for the economy.
According to ТСН: After the permission to cross the border for young men aged 18 to 23 was granted, 121 thousand Ukrainians have crossed the Ukrainian-Polish border, who can work and support the economy of the country.
Comments from a Member of Parliament
This was reported by MP Roman Kostenko during a broadcast on the NTA channel. He stated:
"What are we supposed to do in the rear, besides not making criminal decisions regarding the release of our citizens? I am not saying that all young people should be sent to the front, but, at least, the rear is not only about weapons, the army, and mobilization. This is, first and foremost, a war; it is the economy."
Kostenko emphasized that Poland reported the departure of 121 thousand young people from Ukraine who are capable of engaging in work activities.
"As a statesman, I have a question: who can we rely on if we release the entire flower of the nation? 'You go ahead, work in other countries, and we will fight for you together with the older generation. And this is very wrong.'"
He also called for the organization of an effective mobilization process and military preparation.
Necessary actions in the rear
According to Kostenko, in the rear it is necessary to organize:
- effective mobilization;
- preparation for defense;
- active work of the defense industry.
Earlier, it was reported that the Verkhovna Rada is considering expanding the grounds for the temporary restriction of Ukrainians' travel abroad. It was also noted that Ukrainian men aged 18-22 are massively becoming refugees in Germany.
This situation raises concerns in society, as the departure of youth may negatively impact Ukraine's economic stability in such difficult conditions. Discussions on mobilization and preparation for defense are becoming especially relevant, as it is important to maintain the country's potential for future challenges.
