Situation in Indonesia and Thailand
Three tropical cyclones coinciding with the northeast monsoon have caused significant destruction in a region that traditionally suffers from heavy rains at this time of year. On the Indonesian island of Sumatra, at least 442 people have died due to intense storms, and 402 more are considered missing. In Thailand, 169 people have died.
In Indonesia, roads are blocked, and communication networks are damaged, complicating rescue operations and humanitarian aid.

Consequences of the Cyclones
Cyclone Ditwah is also forecasted to bring heavy rains to some areas of southern India on Monday.
It should be noted that the powerful storm Claudia has caused extreme weather conditions in Portugal, Spain, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. As a result of the bad weather, three people have died, and dozens have been injured.
This situation once again emphasizes the vulnerability of regions that frequently face natural disasters. Against the backdrop of climate change, such events may become more frequent, raising concerns among experts and local residents. Rescue organizations continue to work, but the challenges posed require urgent solutions and international support.
