At the time of the incident, the athlete was at an altitude of 2,082 meters.
This marks the second fatal wingsuit accident within the past week. The Alpine operations unit of the St. Gallen cantonal police, under the direction of the federal prosecutor's office, is investigating the exact circumstances of the fall, according to a police spokesperson.
