The USA is changing its strategy for aiding Ukraine: focus on joint weapon production.
US Investments in Ukrainian Armament
According to ТСН: The United States is gaining more benefits from investments in joint production of Ukrainian weapons than from supplying Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles.
This was stated by Andriy Grubinko, director of the Center for Strategic Analytics and International Studies, in a comment to the Kyiv24 TV channel.
The expert emphasized that American missiles are not a magic solution that will resolve the Russian-Ukrainian war in one day.
Moreover, the USA has begun to understand that Ukraine is capable of producing long-range weapons, which when used against Russian territory would not create political risks for Washington.
"If an American missile strikes Moscow, this is a direct conflict. But if a 'long Neptune' made with US funds strikes, that's a completely different story," noted Andriy Grubinko.
According to the expert, the main focus of the USA in the context of security guarantees is now shifting towards the joint production of weapons for Ukraine.
Additionally, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky raised the issue of the possibility of deploying US troops along the line of demarcation, noting that this could be a significant element of security guarantees.
Thus, the focus on joint weapon production and strengthening military cooperation opens new prospects for Ukraine in ensuring security. In the ongoing conflict, such initiatives could significantly affect the country's ability to defend itself and resist aggression from Russia. Cooperation with the USA in this area will provide Ukraine with more opportunities to develop its own defense capabilities.
