Falion on her granddaughter's fight with oncology: how the life of a 22-year-old girl was saved.
According to ТСН: The lead singer of the band 'Lisapetny Batallion' Natalia Falion openly talked for the first time about the difficult fight against oncology that her 22-year-old granddaughter Kristina experienced. The girl was diagnosed with sarcoma, but timely medical assistance helped avoid metastases and save her life. In an interview with the YouTube project TSN 'Alone Together', Natalia recalled the operation that changed their family's life. Kristina had to undergo a joint replacement procedure after the affected bone area was removed.
'She is 22 and has a knee prosthesis. I never thought that they could make such a prosthesis, cut out a knee and put it inside, then stitch it up. The scar is 60 cm long. I am so grateful to her for how she accepted her illness, her plight, and we did not fall into despair. She is strong, she overcame with a smile. She lives life fully and is not fixated on it. We are keeping an eye on it. Thank God, everything is fine,' Natalia said in a conversation with Anna Sevastyanova.
The singer noted that health problems were not identified immediately — one of the doctors mistakenly classified the formation as 'age-related'. Only thanks to Kristina's mother's persistence and contacting another specialist was the problem timely diagnosed.
'One doctor told her it was just age-related. But she has a wise mom who did not settle. Others started to have some suspicion. And she found a doctor who said it was not just a bump and age-related, but very serious. And they performed the operation on time. They cut it out successfully and there were no metastases. A miracle for our family,' the artist shared.
Natalia admitted that her granddaughter's experience forced her to seriously rethink her own attitude towards health. She began to undergo regular check-ups and pay more attention to changes in her body.
'You reevaluate your lifestyle. And when my papillomas started to grow a bit, I was scared at first. But then I went, got tested, consulted, and calmly got my face in order. And now I am getting examined much more often than before. You need to keep an eye on your body,' emphasized the lead singer of 'Lisapetny Batallion'.
Recent news from the lives of Ukrainian stars also does not go without dramatic events. Recently, actor Aram Arzumanian was urgently hospitalized due to an incident during a performance. He got in touch and told about his well-being.
This story demonstrates the importance of timely visits to doctors and persistence in the fight for health. The example of Kristina and her family shows how important it is not to stop at initial diagnoses and seek additional help, as it can save lives. Natalia's experience also serves as an important reminder of the necessity of regular check-ups and attentiveness to one's own health.
