Ukraine Braces for Heatwave of +35°C: When Will the Long-Awaited Cooldown Arrive?.
Weather Forecast for Ukraine: July 1-4, 2023
According to Espreso.tv: According to the weather outlook for Ukraine from July 1 to July 4, 2023, scorching temperatures are expected. On July 1, the country will see highs between +30°C and +35°C. In Kyiv, the mercury is predicted to reach +33°C. Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms and rain may occur in the Transcarpathian region.
Shifting Weather Patterns Ahead
Forecasts indicate that a cold atmospheric front will move into Ukraine on July 2, triggering a shift in weather conditions. The heat will first ease in the western regions, followed by most parts of the country on July 3-4.
“The heat will first subside in the western regions, and then across most of Ukraine during July 3-4,” noted meteorologist Natalka Didenko.
She added, “With such intense heat, the approach of an atmospheric front could bring heavy downpours, squalls, and thunderstorms.”
The weather changes in Ukraine during the first days of July reflect the typical activity of atmospheric fronts for this season, which can cause sharp temperature swings and precipitation. The expected heavy rains and storms may impact agriculture and infrastructure, making it essential to monitor updated forecasts. The drop in temperature after the heatwave could also benefit public health by reducing the risk of heatstroke and other high-temperature-related issues.
