EU spokesperson answered whether financial aid to Ukraine is planned to be stopped.
The spokesperson of the European Commission, Guillaume Mercier, during a briefing in Brussels on Thursday, July 31, answered whether there are plans to suspend aid to Ukraine. According to him, the funding will not be frozen.

Funding for Ukraine
According to Mercier, the European Commission considers it essential to maintain the independence of anti-corruption bodies in Ukraine.
'Regarding recent events, we have clearly outlined our position. I can confirm that there are no plans to freeze funding from the EU,'he said.
The EU representative also emphasized that it is currently important for Ukraine to implement the necessary reforms to ensure the rule of law.
Earlier, the Ukrainian government received a warning from the EU about the possible suspension of all financial aid to Ukraine if the parliament does not vote for any of the laws on the independence of NABU and SAP.
Today, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on restoring the independence of anti-corruption bodies, which was signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
The European Commission confirmed that it does not plan to freeze funding for Ukraine allocated by the European Union. Guillaume Mercier emphasized the importance of maintaining the independence of anti-corruption bodies in Ukraine and implementing necessary reforms to ensure the rule of law.
