On the storming of the Capitol: FBI employees ordered to reveal their role in the investigation.
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) employees have been ordered to respond to inquiries regarding their work on criminal cases related to the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021. This has raised concerns about possible firings in the management.
I know that I and others who received this questionnaire have many questions and concerns, and I am making efforts to get answers to them
The deadline for responses is 3:00 PM Eastern Time. Democrats and other critics claim that President Trump's team is purging employees of the FBI and the Department of Justice who were involved in criminal cases against the US president and participants in the January 6 riots.
The day after, Trump commuted the sentences of 14 people who were charged in the Capitol storming. In addition, he intensified quarantine measures for others, including those who attacked law enforcement officers.
The acting deputy attorney general demanded from the FBI lists of employees who worked on the January 6 cases and the criminal case against Hamas leaders during the war in Gaza.
Several senior FBI officials from the agency's headquarters were fired, as well as branch leaders in Miami and Washington.
A week ago, more than a dozen career prosecutors from the Department of Justice who were involved in criminal cases against Trump, including election interference and classified documents, were dismissed.
