The USA has exhausted sanctions against Russia: what will happen next.
According to inkorr.com: Marco Rubio, the US Secretary of State, stated that the possibilities for new sanctions against Russia are almost exhausted. Following the imposition of restrictions in key sectors of the Russian economy, the financial system, and among high-ranking officials, the focus will now be on enforcing the existing sanctions. These conclusions were announced during the meeting of G7 foreign ministers in Canada. Rubio also emphasized that Russia is using a shadow fleet to circumvent oil restrictions and called on European countries to become more actively involved in this process as they are close to the situation.
Destruction of air defense systems
The US Secretary of State also stressed that Russia is rapidly destroying the air defense systems provided to Ukraine, which poses a threat to the security of its energy system.
In light of recent events, Rubio's comments underline the importance of maintaining and monitoring existing sanctions against Russia. By focusing on compliance with these restrictions, the US and its partners are trying to counter Moscow's attempts to evade these measures. The situation regarding Ukraine's air defense also remains critically important, as its protection from attacks determines the security and stability of the region.
