Ukraine will receive military assistance from the USA amounting to 322 million dollars. This decision was made by the Pentagon and the State Department, as reported by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
What is known about military assistance to Ukraine from the USA
The first package will include HAWK Phase III air defense systems and necessary equipment for their maintenance worth 172 million dollars. The second package, valued at 150 million dollars, will consist of equipment for repair and maintenance of Bradley infantry fighting vehicles.
'The proposed sale will enhance Ukraine's ability to defend against current and future threats, providing it with additional means to carry out self-defense missions and ensure regional security through more powerful air defense assets.'
It is worth noting that earlier, the German and American sides promised to deliver five Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine. Deliveries are expected soon.
In addition, civic activists in the Czech Republic raised 60 million crowns to assist Ukraine, which will go towards the purchase of howitzers.
