The US and EU Strengthen Sanctions Against Russia

According to inkorr.com: The United States and the European Union have announced their intention to intensify sanctions against Russia. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessen stated that new restrictions for Moscow are already in preparation, but the details are not yet disclosed. At the same time, the EU has completed the coordination of the 19th package of sanctions against Russian assets.

'We plan to announce, either today after the market closes or tomorrow morning, a significant expansion of sanctions against Russia,' Bessen stated.

Permanent representatives of EU countries confirmed the adoption of the 19th package of sanctions during a meeting in Brussels. European Union diplomats hope for the approval of new restrictions during the European Council meeting on October 23.

The approval of new sanctions became possible after resolving issues that arose from Slovakia. Austria also requested to lift restrictions on certain Russian assets, but its demands were not met.

EU and US countries continue to increase economic pressure on Russia by introducing new sanctions. Although specific details are not yet disclosed, a significant expansion of restrictions is expected. The approval of the 19th package of sanctions at the meeting in Brussels emphasizes the European side's intention to intensify pressure on the Russian economy.

These measures indicate a worsening of the international situation and a growing willingness of the EU and the US to act together in response to Russia's aggression. New sanctions may significantly increase economic pressure on Moscow, as the restrictions target key sectors of the Russian economy, which, in turn, aims to compel the state to refrain from further actions on the international stage.
