The USA and Russia discuss a peace plan for Ukraine
The USA and Russia are negotiating a peace plan for Ukraine, which has three stages: a ceasefire, holding new elections, and signing an agreement. This was reported by Fox News, citing sources close to the negotiations.
Special attention is given to the conditions for holding elections as a key factor for successful peace settlement. According to information, Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that there are good chances for the election of a pro-Russian candidate who will be more inclined to negotiations and concessions.

The negotiations lasted about 4.5 hours and were led by US Secretary of State Mark Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. According to Russian Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov, these were 'very serious talks on all issues.'
US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz noted that 'discussions on territorial issues and security guarantees are necessary.' The main goal is to achieve a lasting cessation of the war, not a temporary one.
US Secretary of State Mark Rubio emphasized that 'all parties in the conflict in Ukraine must agree on a resolution to end it.'
As a result of the meeting between the representatives of the USA and Russia, the parties agreed to create high-level groups for negotiations on Ukraine. These groups will work towards a swift and sustainable resolution of the conflict that will be acceptable to all sides.
Currently, the White House is refraining from commenting on reports about the peace plan.
