The US is for the first time ready to station troops in Ukraine after peace: Tusk's statement

According to ТСН: Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk reported on significant changes in the negotiations for a peaceful end to the war in Ukraine. He noted that the United States has officially expressed its readiness for the first time to participate in the security of Ukraine after peace is reached, which could also include the presence of American soldiers along the dividing lines.

Tusk made this statement after a teleconference of European leaders and before a government meeting.

The Prime Minister emphasized that such statements were made for the first time and were a surprise to many participants in the process.

“A central outcome of recent days is the statement from the USA, and this is of course something new. Some were even surprised by the willingness of the USA to engage in security guarantees for Ukraine after peace, including the presence of American troops. For example, at the border or at the front line between Ukraine and Russia. These clear statements have appeared for the first time,” Tusk emphasized.

The politician also noted that although peace is already “visible on the horizon,” it is still too early to speak with full certainty about a quick end to the conflict. The further success of the negotiations depends on the systematic actions of Washington.

As previously mentioned, Donald Tusk emphasized the importance of uniting international partners and seeking possible compromises regarding territorial issues.

It was also noted that Trump, after the results of the dialogue with the Ukrainian leader, expressed the opinion that the likelihood of concluding the war is 95%.

These new statements underline the growing interest of the international community in the role of the USA in ensuring stability in Ukraine. The emergence of the possibility of American soldiers along the dividing lines could significantly influence the course of negotiations and the implementation of peace initiatives. It is important to observe how these changes affect the interaction between the main actors in the conflict and international partners.
