The Russian authorities continue to implement their strategy of removing local residents from leadership positions in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD).

It is noted that this trend is evidenced by two recent appointments: the first deputy head of the occupied Enerhodar became the former mayor of the city of Polyarnye Zori, Murmansk region, Russian Federation, Maxim Pukhov. Also, the Donetsk and Mariupol diocese of the Orthodox Church was headed by a new archbishop Vladimir - a metropolitan who recently headed the Vladivostok and Primorsk diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.

In particular, the CCD notes that a significant portion of the leadership positions in the occupation administrations are held by individuals sent from Russia. Meanwhile, locals who cooperated with the occupiers receive predominantly formal positions in the regions of the Russian Federation. At the same Time, local collaborators remaining in leadership positions are assigned "supervisors" from Moscow.

"By appointing individuals who previously had no connection with local communities to leadership positions in the occupied regions, the Kremlin seeks to centralize power and strengthen its control over them. Despite all the statements of Russian propaganda, in Moscow, collaborators are not perceived as "their own" and efforts are made to limit their influence," notes the CCD.

By the way, in temporarily occupied Enerhodar, the car of the so-called "chief of physical security" of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant exploded. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Earlier, the car of Astrakhan deputy Denis Kharitonov was blown up in the occupied part of Ukraine. The car burned completely.
