The condition of Pope Francis remains critical but stable. This is reported by Vatican News.
The Holy See press office reported on the health of Pope Francis on the eleventh day of his stay at the Agostino Gemelli Hospital in Rome. According to them, the Pope's condition remains critical and the doctors do not give forecasts for the future.
'The condition of the Pope remains critical but stable. There have been no episodes of acute respiratory attacks', - said representatives of the press office.
All other blood parameters of the Pope remain stable. He underwent a planned CT scan to monitor bilateral pneumonia. The forecasts remain cautious, but Francis has resumed his duties.
Pope Francis, 88, has been in the hospital since February 14 with a diagnosis of bilateral pneumonia. Rumors have circulated in the media about his possible imminent death, but these talks are considered speculation. Even the Swiss Guard, who protects the Pope, has already denied rumors of a funeral rehearsal.
The Pope himself expressed confidence in a private conversation that this time he would not overcome the disease.
