Starmer to discuss with Macron support for Ukraine after Trump's victory - Media.
French President Emmanuel Macron will meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss support for Ukraine, reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to Reuters.
Starmer will travel to France a few days after the US presidential elections, where he will talk to Macron. The main topics of discussion will be providing assistance to Ukraine, the continuation of the Russian invasion, and the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Previously, Donald Trump expressed dissatisfaction with the level of US support in Ukraine's fight with Russia and promised to end the conflict without explaining how exactly to do it. The UK and France stressed the importance of continuing support for Ukraine to protect Europe as a whole.
Next year, Great Britain and the European Union will begin negotiations on a security pact after Brexit, which will cover areas such as defense and energy cooperation. This will be a step towards greater responsibility for their own security.
