According to Мінфін — Крипто/Фінанси: Stablecoin transaction volumes surged to a record-breaking $1.79 trillion in June, marking a 63% increase from May. This also represents a 125% year-over-year rise. The previous all-time high of $1.78 trillion was set in February this year, making June's figures a clear sign of renewed momentum in the cryptocurrency sector.
Volume Distribution Among Stablecoins
Circle's USDC dominated stablecoin activity, accounting for approximately $1.21 trillion in transactions—67% of the total market. Tether's USDT followed with $576 billion, representing 32% of all transactions. Other stablecoins like PayPal's PYUSD recorded $2.42 billion in transaction volume.
Among blockchain networks, Base led the pack with $565 billion in transactions. Ethereum recorded $562 billion, while Tron saw $320 billion in volume. These figures highlight the rapid expansion of the stablecoin market and growing investor appetite for crypto assets.
The June surge in stablecoin transactions underscores the strengthening role of these assets in the crypto ecosystem. The popularity of USDC and USDT suggests that investors increasingly turn to stablecoins as a reliable store of value and medium for transactions. Activity on blockchains like Base and Ethereum further emphasizes the importance of distributed ledger technology in shaping next-generation financial tools.
