Sharp Declines for Dollar and Euro on Ukraine's Currency Market on July 6.
Currency Market Shifts in Ukraine
According to Мінфін — Крипто/Фінанси: On July 6, Ukraine's foreign exchange market saw notable drops in the average rates of both the US dollar and the euro. The dollar's average buying rate fell by 6 kopiyky, while its selling rate decreased by 5 kopiyky. For the euro, both buying and selling rates lost 7 kopiyky each.
In the cash market, the average dollar rate dropped by 14 kopiyky for purchases and 11 kopiyky for sales. The euro declined by 10 kopiyky on the buying side, but selling rates remained unchanged. The hryvnia now trades against the dollar at 44.36–44.88 UAH, while the euro is bought at 50.77 UAH and sold at 51.42 UAH.

At currency exchange points, the dollar is currently trading at 44.55–44.67 UAH, with the euro at 51.15–51.40 UAH. The interbank market opened with the dollar in a range of 44.51–44.55 UAH, while euro trades are occurring at 50.84–50.87 UAH. These movements highlight ongoing rate fluctuations that are impacting the country's economic landscape.
Today's decline in the dollar and euro rates may stem from shifts in supply and demand on the currency market, as well as broader economic factors affecting the hryvnia.
