Independence Day Payment Will Not Reduce Social Benefits, Says Ukraine’s Pension Fund.
One-Time Cash Payment for Ukraine’s Independence Day
According to Мінфін — Крипто/Фінанси: A one-time cash payout tied to Ukraine’s Independence Day will not affect the amount of basic social assistance, as it will not be counted toward a family’s average monthly total income. This clarification comes from the Pension Fund of Ukraine, confirming that the conditions for receiving aid remain unchanged for Ukrainian households.
How Social Assistance Is Calculated
The baseline figure used to calculate social aid is 4,500 hryvnias. For the first family member, 100% of this baseline is applied, while subsequent members qualify for 70%. In cases involving children under 18 or individuals with a Group I or II disability, the full 100% baseline is also used.
Average monthly total income is determined based on earnings from the three months preceding the application date. The one-time Independence Day payment will be excluded from this calculation, ensuring that recipients’ basic social assistance amounts remain intact.
Citizens can rest assured that receiving this one-time payment will not affect their eligibility for social aid—a key factor for the financial stability of many Ukrainian families.
This information is crucial for Ukrainians who rely on social benefits, as it allows them to accept the Independence Day payout without fear of losing their support. The decision could positively impact household finances, especially amid economic uncertainty, by providing extra funds during the holiday period without jeopardizing ongoing social assistance.
