Ukraine unveils a unique combat dataset for AI: what foreign companies will gain.
According to inkorr.com: Yuriy Mironenko, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, shared achievements and plans regarding the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the military sphere during the Defense Tech Valley 2025 summit in Lviv.
According to Yuriy Mironenko, Ukraine is already using a unique combat dataset for training AI in the defense sector.
Drones of the 'wing' type located at the frontline generate over 50,000 streams each month, helping to accurately determine the positions and equipment of the enemy. This has been made possible thanks to the implementation of AI and a unique dataset that is constantly updated with new videos. There is also a possibility of providing access to this dataset for foreign companies to train their models. AI is used for analyzing visual data, working with radars, artillery, sound signals, intelligence information, and historical data.
Plans for the Future
In the near future, there are plans to increase the autonomy of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), extend their range, and scale these processes. A regulatory framework is also being developed to simplify the admission of AI developments from manufacturers for testing in the battlefield.
The report on the development of artificial intelligence technologies in Ukraine's defense sector highlighted achievements and plans regarding the use of AI to enhance the effectiveness of military operations and ensure the country's security.
The news discusses important initiatives related to the implementation of artificial intelligence in Ukraine's defense sector. Thanks to these technologies, Ukraine will be able to significantly improve its military capabilities and adapt to new challenges on the battlefield. Further development and engagement of international partners in this matter could strengthen the country's defense capacity.Read also
