Student Deferment: Key Details and Deadlines

According to Novyny.live: Students are entitled to a deferment from mobilization for the full duration of their studies. This deferment is canceled upon dismissal or academic leave. The deferment record will disappear from the 'Reserve+' registry approximately one week after dismissal.

During a special period, deferment from conscription into the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) is granted to students for the time they are enrolled, including all vacation periods. However, it is important to note that academic leave does not qualify as a valid reason to extend the deferment, so it is not active during such leave. If a student is expelled from their educational institution, their right to deferment is terminated.

Additionally, deferment can be revoked if the company where a citizen was reserved loses its status as critical to the economy. Deferment is also canceled after losing a job that provided the right to deferment.

'The record from 'Reserve+' should disappear within a week,' stated Vladyslav Deriy.

Vyacheslav Kyrd added: 'It's hard to say the exact time, but I think the deferment should disappear from the 'Reserve+' app within one to two weeks.' These comments highlight the importance of responding promptly to changes in student status, as well as the need to carefully monitor information in the registry.

Therefore, students must be aware of the conditions for granting deferments and the timeframes within which changes to their status may occur, in order to avoid misunderstandings.

This information is crucial for students because it directly affects their ability to avoid mobilization during their studies. Understanding the deadlines and terms of deferment can help students prevent unexpected situations that may arise in the event of dismissal or changes in employment status. Thus, timely responses to changes and close monitoring of the 'Reserve+' registry can be key factors in upholding students' rights during these challenging times.
