The Pension Fund of Ukraine responded to the question about the possibility for the wife of a combat participant who is on military service to apply for benefits on his behalf. According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, a wife or husband is considered a family member. However, if the combat participant cannot apply to the Pension Fund for significant reasons, family members are allowed to submit an application on his behalf. To receive benefits, applications and a copy of the veteran's certificate must be submitted. There is also a simplified application available for use under an experimental project. This application must include the military service member's bank account details.
