Heating Subsidies: PFU Began Automatic Recalculation.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) began an automatic recalculation of housing subsidies for the next heating season starting October 1, 2024. This was announced by Olena Okhrimenko, director of the Department of Pension Provision, Insurance Payments, Social Services, Housing Subsidies, and Benefits of the PFU, during the national telethon "United News".
"Housing subsidy is assigned once a year in May by the Pension Fund. Payments last until April 30 of the following year. Starting from October 1, when the heating season begins, there is no need to apply to the Pension Fund for a subsidy," noted Okhrimenko.
According to her, the recalculation happens automatically for most citizens, even in cases where the subsidy payment was 0 UAH during the summer period. The subsidy calculation formula and the assignment procedure remain unchanged.
Okhrimenko also explained that those who had not previously received a housing subsidy and had not applied for it can now submit an application: "If people apply within two months from the beginning of the heating season until December 1, the housing subsidy will be assigned starting October 1".
Regarding the application procedure, Okhrimenko noted: "You can apply to the Pension Fund service center or CNAP. You can also submit an application electronically through the Pension Fund of Ukraine portal".
To receive a subsidy, you need to fill out an application and a declaration. Additional documents are not required since the PFU independently verifies the provided information and obtains the necessary data from the relevant authorities.
Recall, Ukrainians were told how to receive the full amount of the subsidy.
