Subsidies and assistance for IDPs: Ukraine will receive money from the World Bank.
The World Bank approved additional funding for the INSPIRE project of 664 million US dollars
According to the Ministry of Finance, 602 million US dollars will be transferred to the general fund of the State Budget of Ukraine. INSPIRE is a project aimed at providing social protection for low-income and vulnerable populations in Ukraine. Its goal is to enhance coverage, resilience, and effectiveness of social protection by improving access to social services and assistance, as well as strengthening the social support system. INSPIRE also facilitates a rapid response to current and future challenges.
'The implementation of socially significant initiatives is one of the Government's priorities in addressing the consequences of the war. The INSPIRE project strengthens the effectiveness of social protection programs for thousands of Ukrainians, particularly through subsidies for utility services and assistance for IDPs,' emphasized the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko.
Another 662 million US dollars will be sent from the ADVANCE Ukraine Target Fund, which is funded by the Government of Japan. In addition, we will receive a grant of 2 million US dollars from the World Bank's Early Learning Partnership trust fund to expand the childcare program.
