Trial of embezzlers of 1.3 billion hryvnias of the Ministry of Defense: details of the high-profile case.
According to inkorr.com: Recently, the national police decided to put an end to a group of thieves who embezzled over 1.34 billion hryvnias intended for the procurement of ammunition for the Ministry of Defense. The criminals entered into a contract to supply 100 thousand mortar shells, but did not fulfill it. The suspects transferred the funds to other accounts and used them for their own needs. After a thorough police investigation and the seizure of funds amounting to 818 million hryvnias, all involved individuals were identified.
As a result of the law enforcement actions, a large amount of money held in bank accounts has been seized, and five individuals are suspected of committing the crime. The court hearing will determine the further fate of these criminals and will examine all the details of this criminal scheme. The crime may turn out to be even larger and more complex than initially thought.
