Another Delay in the Trial of Vyacheslav Zinchenko
According to Novyny.live: On June 15, 2023, a court session in Lviv concerning Vyacheslav Zinchenko—the suspect in the murder of Iryna Farion—was postponed after defense lawyer Larysa Kryvoruchko did not show up. The court has now assigned a state-appointed attorney to represent the accused. This case has drawn significant public attention in Ukraine due to the high-profile nature of the victim and the violent circumstances of the crime.
Zinchenko has been held in custody since July 25, 2024. His current detention period is set to expire on June 20, 2023. Prosecutors are pushing for a life sentence. The next hearing has been rescheduled for June 16, 2023, at 11:00 AM.
