Leandro de Souza: From Tattoo Passion to Cleansing

Each removal session lasts up to 40 minutes and is even more painful than the process of getting tattoos. Leandro confessed that even anesthesia does not help relieve the pain.
He shared a photo of his face after another laser session on Instagram, comparing it to a picture where he was still fully tattooed. Leandro wrote:
“After the fifth tattoo removal session on my face, @helltatto – gratitude, all for Jesus Christ.”

Leandro also shared with O Globo:
“It hurts much more than when I got the tattoos. It hurts three times more. Even with anesthesia, this process is very painful.”
Reasons and Transformation
Leandro got his first tattoo at 13, inspired by rock bands like Nirvana and Guns N' Roses. However, after separating from his wife, he began recklessly covering his body with tattoos due to a lack of self-confidence.
When the tattoos began to remind him of the past, Leandro decided to change his life. Finding support in an evangelical group and wanting to provide a better life for his son, he began the process of removing the tattoos.
“I didn’t feel good; they no longer suited me. It was a world of excess that no longer served me. There came a moment when I felt like a circus attraction,” he says.

Leandro tries to find peace in his new faith, leaving behind a former life filled with tattoos and addictions.
Leandro’s tireless efforts to break away from his past reflect his desire for change. His transformation becomes an example for those seeking to improve their lives. Today, he is not only removing tattoos but also building a new self, focusing on family values and his faith. It is a journey of recovery that certainly requires courage.Read also
