A minor accomplice of the perpetrator is suspected of calling the police to report a theft while the bomb was being planted. Prosecutor Nazar Markiv stated that the accomplice has been identified and investigative actions are currently underway with her. The accomplice has since turned 18, which legally removes her status as a minor. This case highlights the complex tactics sometimes employed in such plots within the region.

The perpetrator planted the explosive device while her accomplice made the call to police, falsely reporting a store robbery. The accomplice was promised 2,000 hryvnias for making that police call. The girl was detained in Kharkiv, where she had attempted to flee after the incident. Notably, the suspect claims she was allegedly unaware of the bomb.

Detention Order for Lviv Bombing Perpetrator

A court hearing in the case was held on February 23. The court ordered the perpetrator to be held in custody until April 22 as a preventive measure. According to information, the suspect was promised $2,000 for carrying out the attack. The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement continues to gather evidence related to this crime.
