Tesla Unveils Model Y with Record Range of 821 km.
According to Korrespondent.net: Tesla has presented a new version of its electric crossover in China - the Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive. This model has an increased range of up to 821 km according to the Chinese CLTC cycle, making it the most powerful modification of the Model Y on the market, according to CarNewsChina.
Technical Specifications and Design
The car's dimensions are 4797x1920x1624 mm, and the wheelbase is 2890 mm. The exterior features a new light diffusion reflection technology at the rear of the body, which has become the trademark style of Tesla. The interior retains the recognizable features of the company: a 15.4-inch screen in the front and an 8-inch display for rear passengers allow management of multimedia systems, Bluetooth, and seat heating.

Vehicle Performance
The model is equipped with an LG battery with a capacity of 78.4 kWh, providing an impressive range. With a power output of 302 hp, the rear electric drive system accelerates the vehicle to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, while the maximum speed is 201 km/h.
Options and Prices
The Model Y lineup in China now consists of four options:
- base RWD for $36,900;
- new Long Range RWD for $40,400;
- Long Range AWD for $43,900;
- six-seat Model Y L for $47,500.
Despite the fact that the new model is approximately $3,500 more expensive than the base version, most specifications remain unchanged. In particular, the audio system still only has nine speakers, which has caused dissatisfaction among users in the Chinese social network Weibo, who have reached out to Tesla China's vice president Grace Tao.
It was previously reported that the new Chinese crossover set a record for range among plug-in hybrids.
Thus, the new modification of the Tesla Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive not only offers an impressive range but also highlights the company's innovative approach to electric vehicle development. This car will be an attractive choice for those seeking comfort and performance in an eco-friendly option.
