Premium bonds
More than £100 million in prize money from premium bonds remain unclaimed after the monthly draws.
Some account holders may not even remember or be aware of their bonds.
If you suspect you may have bonds, contact your NS&I provider for verification.
It's also recommended to update your contact details if you have bonds.
You can choose the option for automatic winnings transfer to your bank account to avoid missing out on receiving your winnings.
Child trust funds
It is believed that billions of unclaimed funds remain in old savings accounts, which are usually automatically opened by the government.
Anyone born between September 1, 2002, and January 2, 2011, may miss this opportunity.
You can use the online tool on gov.uk to track your funds using your national insurance number and date of birth.
Lost pensions
Employees are now automatically enrolled in pension schemes when changing jobs, but many lose track of their savings. It is estimated that around £31 billion remains unattended by the owners.
You can trace accounts using the Pension Tracing Service on gov.uk. Providers can also offer assistance.
Lottery winnings
You have 180 days to claim a lottery win. Currently, there are two unclaimed wins of £1 million in Lotto and EuroMillions.
Both tickets were purchased in the area of Birmingham, one of the wins – UK Millionaire Maker.
It's always worth taking your ticket to the store to check if you've won before throwing it away.
