The US may provide Ukraine with Tomahawks: what Senator Graham said.
According to ТСН: American Republican Senator Lindsey Graham expressed the opinion that if the Kremlin rejects a peace deal, the United States should radically change its policy towards Russia and provide Ukraine with "Tomahawk" missiles.
In an NBC News segment, Graham noted that if Putin refuses peace, the US should "radically change the rules of the game." He believes that Ukraine should be provided with "Tomahawk" missiles so that the Ukrainian Armed Forces can target Russian factories producing drones and missiles.
"I would go all in if Putin said 'no'," the senator said.
Graham also expressed hope that if Putin again rejects peace, Trump will sign a bill on sanctions against Russia. The senator proposed capturing ships carrying Russian oil.
"If this time he says 'no', this is what I hope President Trump will do. He will sign my bill, which has 85 co-sponsors and imposes tariffs on countries like China that buy cheap Russian oil, recognizes Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism for the abduction of 20,000 Ukrainian children, and most importantly — confiscates ships with sanctioned Russian oil, as is done in Venezuela," he noted.
According to Graham, a peace agreement should prevent a new Russian attack on Ukraine, which can be achieved by deploying European troops and providing Kyiv with real security guarantees. He also added that without increased pressure from the US, Putin will continue to try to seize new territories of Ukraine.
Previously, President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that it was the Ukrainian delegation discussing the negotiations in the US.
Lindsey Graham's words underscore the readiness of the US to more actively support Ukraine in confronting Russian aggression. The future of peace negotiations currently remains in question and depends on the Kremlin's position. In this situation, the support of partners, especially the United States, which can significantly influence the events in the region, is crucial.
