According to The Sun: A tragic event occurred at Disneyland in Hong Kong: a tourist from the Philippines died after losing consciousness on the popular ride 'Frozen Ever After'. The 53-year-old man felt unwell during the ride on Friday while he was next to his wife.
AFPThe man's wife noticed that he had lost consciousness and urgently sought help from park staff. Medics quickly arrived at the scene when the ride returned to the starting point and began CPR.
The tourist was taken to Southern Lantau Hospital, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead shortly after 11:30 AM local time. According to the police, the incident was reported at 10:18.
The wife of the deceased noted that her husband had serious health issues, including heart disease and high blood pressure, which required regular treatment.
“The resort expresses its deep condolences regarding the guest's death and will do everything possible to provide the necessary support to his family,” said a representative of Disneyland in Hong Kong.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident is not related to the safety of the ride.
The Philippine consulate in Hong Kong confirmed the man's death and stated that it is cooperating with local authorities to assist his family.
The 'Frozen Ever After' ride
This ride transports visitors into the fairy-tale world of 'Frozen' and is part of the 'Disney World' section. It offers a slow boat ride with modern animatronics, such as Anna, Elsa, and Olaf. Although the ride is accessible to people of all ages and heights, the official app warns that pregnant women are advised not to participate.
